Vanilla, Mint, Coconut, Almond, and Orange Extracts
7/12/12
Grey Goose Vodka
Orange Peel
Mint Leaves
Grated Unsweetened Coconut
Vanilla Beans
Sliced Almonds
Split the vodka between all the jars you will be using. Add the ingredient needed for each one. Seal with lid and let sit for 1 month before using. The contents can stay in there for anywhere from 3-6 months and the longer it sits the stronger the flavor will be. The only one you need to worry about is the mint. Take the mints leaves out after 2-3 days, they will go bad if you leave them in there longer. All jars do not need to be refrigerated but can be in you feel like it.
The two empty containers are for the almond slices and vanilla beans which I don't currently have. As you can see $20 of Grey Goose Vodka doesn't go very far but it's still cheaper this way AND I can make whatever kind of extract I want AND it's corn-free thanks to expensive brand I bought that only uses wheat to make their vodka. All brands of vodka will work for this but since I have a corn allergy I have to buy a more expensive brand that doesn't use corn. That is also why I'm making my own extract since the extracts from the store are made with corn alcohol which is cheaper than other alcohols.
